The bands, Tomates Rocky and The Rising Sun Orchestra, from the Chilean netlabel Armatoste, have already been in Austin TX for one month. The seven musicians are staying in Donna Keyes’ farm in Lexington, who, besides being the hostess, is the manager of both bands. In this month they have performed in places such as The Lost Well and Sahara Lounge in Austin. They also did a mini tour to Memphis, where they surprised the audience with these new sounds brought from the South of the world. There they did two consecutive shows in Hi Tone, and also played in DKDC bar.

In the cabin that Sam’s daughter left for the musicians that is located between green and blooming trees, they rehearse, work, eat and sleep. Two hundred yards away is Donna’s house, where, in exchange of workforce, she provides everyone´s food, internet connection, long and interesting conversations and more space to work. Also, there is the thinking tank where Armatoste plans their next steps, feed the social media, produce their gigs and talk with their beloved.

Recently, both bands have been arranging what will be their great event in their stay in the US — the “From Chile With Love Tour” that will cross 12 states in 25 days. The kick-off gig will be in Houston, then heading North East towards Memphis, Philly and Charleston, and some other places yet to be confirmed.
